...good times, good times

Thanks to each and everyone of you for attending our ten year reunion! Everything went off without a hitch thanks to the hard work of a few great souls, of which, Joel Lawson must stand out as superlative for his efforts. Joel, that was a job done with extra-special care. Thanks, dude.

Norma Kellogg Crumbley, Penny Puckett (at a loss for her married name) and Eli Chastain each put extra hours in as well to make all of this happen! Thanks to each of you as well!

In all I believe we must have had around 125 people in attendence. Thanks to each of you for making this quite a memorable experience. I can't wait to see y'all soon!

Deepest regards (and warrior pride),

...what up with Dustin Hall!?!

I just received an e-mail from Dustin Hall. Dustin has received his bachelor's degree in business (I believe) from Utah State University in beautiful Logan, Utah (and I know how beautiful it is because I've had the opportunity to witness Logan, myself)!!!

This is an image of he and his wife, Angie. Angie just happens to be expecting a young Hall! Congratulations to you, Dustin!

Dustin is about to head off to flight school for the United States Air Force. It is my understanding he will be a navigator (a la Goose from "Top Gun").

Dustin, you amaze me daily! We are all so proud of you, dude!

Bill and Kelly (Kiest) DeMont

I just thought I would give a little describtion of me and my family: I got married December of '96 to Bill DeMont he was in the grade above us, Laura DeMont's brother. He joined the military (army) August of '96. We moved to Texas (Fort Hood). We lived there about 3 years then we moved to Colorado (Fort Carson). We have 2 kids a boy he's 5 and a girl she's 4. We got orders to move back to Texas (Fort Hood). Since we have been here Bill has already went to Iraq once and is going back for his second tour in December of this year. This month he is gone to California to train for a month. My kids do keep me very busy. I volunteer at my sons school and i volunteer in the family readiness group (help other wifes in the military in so many words). Yes I am very worried of him going back but I have to be strong. Here's my little story.

Take care,
Kelly DeMont "Kiest"

Ryan Cagle...

Ryan Cagle is in the U.S. Air Force and is stationed in South Korea at the moment. He forwarded me some images of himself on the job. He hasn't changed too much...which is good. We're proud of you Ryan. Keep it up!!!

Military Honors

I just received an e-mail from Ryan Cagle (its great to hear from you, buddy). He is currently serving in the Air Force in Korea (God Bless you). It made me think about our need to recognize our classmates in the military. I also heard a rumor that one of our classmates was one of the men that actually CAPTURED Sadam Hussein!!!

I'm going to name those that I know to have served from our class. Please add others in the comments box and I will update this list so we may honor them here in our own small way. We appreciate all that you're doing for us y'all!!!

Ryan Cagle (USAF)
Amy McDaris Lawson (USAF)
John "Cliff" Lutz (US Navy)
Dustin Hall (USAF)
Michael Balderez (US Army)
Jason Stewart (USAF)

...this list will be added to as soon as I find out who else has served us!

Family update from Evette McDaniel

Its great to hear from you. I moved from Georgia to Marion, Ohio some four years ago. Tim my husband got on at Honda of America. We helped to plant a new church here in Marysville. The congregation began to meet with just three people and no pastor. Now we have wonderful place of worship and the congregation averages with around one hundred members weekly. You may check out our church website at http://www.mariongatheringplace.com

Well, in any event, about two months ago my husband almost lost his life at work. By the grace of God, his life was spared. He is still recovering and is limited to a cane. I have been busy raising the children for the last four years. I have very recently gotten a job at Whirlpool where we make dryers. I am currently working in the shipping receiving department (if any washers get messed up I fix 'em)!

I have three children. Zach is 8, Noah is 4 and Annsley is 3. Anyone is welcome to e-mail me at either t_e_mcdaniel@netzero.com or Devine_southern_bell@yahoo.com.

Blessings from Ohio,
Evette McDaniel

I ain't too proud to beg...

The Class Office is NOT readily receiving many funds for our reunion. Its not a crisis but we truly need you to send us a check or pay us via PayPal (above). It is imperative that we do so, so that we do not move to plan C (which from my understanding could be held in my parents basement and backyard).

Seriously, though, we REALLY need EVERYONE to submit funds. Further, there are still people with which we are not able to contact. If you keep up with someone that otherwise would be off of the Canton, Georgia local map or even someone that has gone undercover in the North Georgia area, please let us know how to contact them (phone, e-mail, address).

So, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, begin to send funds to:

Thank you, thank you, thanks!!!
